Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel and spend the day adjusting to the altitude. You can tour Skardu Bazaar or rest by the Indus River while preparing physically and psychologically for the exciting days ahead.

On this Day

After breakfast, you'll take a picturesque jeep trip to Arandu, traveling through harsh mountain vistas and traditional Balti communities. The tour takes you through secluded valleys and showcases the region's raw natural splendor. Upon arrival, you will be accommodated in a simple guesthouse or camp. This tranquil community serves as the starting point for your walk, providing a look into local culture and plain mountain life.

On this Day

Today marks the start of your journey as you travel from Arandu to Bisil Village and then to the base of Hikmul La Pass. The trail progressively ascends through alpine scenery, passing over streams and fields. Surrounded by spectacular peaks, you will arrive at the base camp by the afternoon. The campsite provides breathtaking views and a tranquil setting, allowing you to recuperate and prepare for the difficult high-altitude journey ahead.

On this Day

This is the most challenging and rewarding day of the walk, as you climb to Hikmul La Pass at 5,400 meters. The ascent includes steep stretches over rocky, sometimes snow-covered terrain. Upon reaching the summit, you will be rewarded with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding glaciers and peaks. After visiting the pass, you will camp nearby, enjoying a wonderful night at high altitude under a magnificent mountain sky.

On this Day

After an early start, you carefully descend from the pass to the stunning Tsilbu Glacier. The trek includes glacier crossings and rocky moraine trails that require careful footing and attention. The landscape changes considerably, with icy structures and rocky terrain dominating the view. When you arrive at the glacier camping, you'll relax and take in the raw beauty of this secluded glacial landscape.

On this Day

You continue your journey toward Hoh Valley, descending into greener scenery. The path changes from glacier landscape to alpine meadows and small communities, providing a welcome contrast. Along the route, you may come across local shepherds and grazing sheep. When you arrive in Hoh Valley, you will camp or stay in a modest shelter, enjoying the milder weather and gorgeous surroundings after days at higher elevations.

On this Day

From Hoh Valley, take the jeep back to Skardu. The route goes through stunning valleys and river crossings, retracing parts of the Baltoro region. When you arrive in Skardu, check into your accommodation and relax. The return to civilization provides comfort and a chance to reflect on the difficult but gratifying trek.

On this Day

This day is dedicated to exploring Skardu's natural and cultural treasures. You can explore Shangrila Resort, Upper Kachura Lake, and the historical Skardu Fort. The flexible schedule allows you to relax, browse for souvenirs, and sample local food. After the physically taxing hike, this day of exploring is the ideal way to recharge.

On this Day

If the weather permits, you will fly back from Skardu to Islamabad, where you will experience breathtaking mountain vistas once more. After arriving, transfer to your accommodation and enjoy the day at leisure. You can explore the city further, visit local markets, or simply rest at your lodging. This day acts as a buffer in the event of airline delays, allowing time to return to metropolitan life.

On this Day

Following breakfast, you will be transported to the airport for your international departure. As you depart Pakistan, you'll have wonderful recollections of the Hikmul La Pass walk, including beautiful scenery, cultural experiences, and personal accomplishments. The adventure ends with a sense of success and a great appreciation for the distant grandeur of the Karakoram Mountains.
