After arriving at Chimpanzee Lodge Nyungwe and freshening up, head to the Uwinka Visitor Center for a safety training before embarking on the canopy walk. Suspended high above the forest floor, this walkway provides an exciting view of the jungle. As you look out across the huge canopy, you may notice colobus monkeys or tropical birds among the chirping and rustle of leaves. After your hike, return to the lodge to unwind and enjoy the peaceful forest atmosphere.
Day 06: Chimpanzee Trekking in Nyungwe Forest

Rise early for an exciting walk to see chimps in their natural habitat. Begin your tour in the Uwinka Visitor Center, where your guide will accompany you on one of the park's routes through the dense forest. Listen for distant calls and keep an eye out for evidence of monkey activity as you walk through the lush greenery. When you find them, spend some time examining their intriguing habits, which include playing, grooming, and conversing with one another. Other primate species to look out for include red-tailed monkeys and olive baboons. Return to your lodge to relax and reflect on the day's events.
Day 07: Departure to Karachi/Lahore/Islamabad

After breakfast, say goodbye to Nyungwe Forest as you return to Kigali.
