Depart for Horton Plains National Park at 5:30 am This park is significant for its rich and unusual biodiversity, as well as its role as a catchment area for some of Sri Lanka's major rivers. It is also recognized as a super biodiversity hotspot' and was designated a UNESCO site in 2010. The vista known as World's End is the national park's most famous feature.

You will be escorted by a private guide during the hike, from the Horton Plains Park Park Office to World's End (via Mini World's End), and back. Wear sturdy, comfortable walking shoes, a hat, and sunglasses. Bring sunscreen, snacks, and water. The weather on the plains can vary fast; one minute it's sunny and clear, the next it's chilly and misty. Bring some extra layers of warm clothing.
