On this Day

Transfer to the airport for your trip to Bukhara. Upon arrival, meet the driver and transfer to the hotel to leave luggage before embarking on a walking sightseeing tour. Explore the historic Ensemble Lyabi Hauz, which includes Nadir Divanbegi Madrassa, Khanaka, Kukeldash Madrassa, and the Khodja Nasreddin Monument. Explore Magoki Attari Mosque, Abdullakhan's Tim, Caravanserai Sayfuddin, and the covered trading domes Toki Sarrofon, Toki Telpak Furushon, and Toki Zargaron. Explore Ulugbek and Abdulazizkhan Madrasas, Poi Kalon Square with Kalon Minaret, Kalon Mosque, Mir Arab Madrasa, and the Ark Fortress. Rest in the hotel.

On this Day

Depart Bukhara for Samarkand via Shakhrisabz, crossing the picturesque Takhta Karacha Pass. Meet the local guide in Shakhrisabz and visit the historical landmarks of Amir Timur's birthplace. Visit the spectacular ruins of Ak Saray Palace, Timur's former great summer palace. Continue to the Dorus-Saodat Mausoleum complex, the Kok Gumbaz mosque, also known as the House of Meditation, and the Gumbazi-Seyidon Mausoleum, where Ulugbek's descendants are interred. After the tour, head to Samarkand. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and check in. The rest of the day is spent at leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Transfer to the Jartepa border checkpoint and fulfill the Tajikistan entry requirements. Meet your Tajik guide and driver and begin your tour in Penjikent by visiting the UNESCO-listed Sarazm archeological site, one of Central Asia's oldest settlements. Continue to the breathtaking Marguzor Seven Lakes in the Fann Mountains, where each lake has a distinct color ranging from deep blue to emerald. The lakes Nezhigon, Soybean, Gushor, Nofin, Hurdak, Marguzor, and Hazorchashma, are located along the Shing River valley and have substantial height changes. Before returning to Penjikent, take a short hike and stop for lunch at a guesthouse. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Begin your tour in Penjikent by visiting the Rudaki Museum, which is dedicated to the creator of Persian poetry, who was born in this region. Explore the local bazaar and mosque to gain insight into daily life. Visit the Sarazm Museum to have a better understanding of the UNESCO historic site's discoveries. After the tour, proceed to Jartepa on the Tajik-Uzbek border to complete the migration formalities. When you arrive in Uzbekistan, meet your driver and carry on to Samarkand. Check in and relax at the hotel.

Explore the gorgeous city of Samarkand, beginning with the Gur Emir Mausoleum, the final burial place of Timur and his successors. Continue to Registan Square, which includes Ulughbek Madrassa, Sherdor Madrassa, and Tilla Kori Madrassa. Visit the magnificent Bibi Khanim Mosque and the impressive Shahi Zinda Necropolis, which features tiled mausoleums. Explore Ulugbek's Observatory, previously a major astronomical center, and visit the bustling Siyab Bazaar. Later, move to the railway station and take the high-speed train to Tashkent. Upon arrival, meet the driver and be transferred to the hotel. The balance of the day is spent at leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel.

On this Day

Begin your guided sightseeing tour of Tashkent by seeing Amir Timur Square and Theater Square, which includes the State Academic Theater of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi. Explore Independence Square and the Earthquake Memorial, which reflect the city's resiliency. Continue to Khast Imam Square, which is home to the Barakkhan Madrasah, the Kaffal Shashi Mausoleum, and the library that houses Othman's ancient Quran. Discover Chorsu Bazaar, with its unique blue dome and bright stalls, and then explore the magnificently adorned Tashkent Metro stations. Following the trip, travel to Tashkent International Airport for departure. This marks the end of the tour.
