Day 02: Fly to Gilgit
On this Day
After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for a scenic flight to Gilgit, weather permitting. The trip provides stunning aerial views of the Karakoram and Himalayan peaks, including Nanga Parbat. When you arrive in Gilgit, you will be transported to your accommodation. The remainder of the day is free to recover and adjust to the altitude. You can take a short walk around town to learn about the local culture and markets. An overnight stay in Gilgit guarantees that you are well rested for the trek ahead.
Day 03: Drive to Naltar
On this Day
Spend the morning exploring in Gilgit, including trips to local bazaars for shopping and cultural exposure. Later in the afternoon, take a two-hour picturesque jeep ride to Naltar. The path follows the Hunza River until it merges with the Naltar River near Nomal settlement. From here, the road winds through lush forests to Naltar, which is famed for its fauna and breathtaking mountain scenery. The Rakaposhi Range may be seen from the campsite. Overnight stay at a campsite or motel.
Day 04: Naltar – Naltar Lake
On this Day
This is the start of the hike, with an easy and enjoyable stroll along the Naltar River. The trail leads through lush pine forests, giving shade and protection along the way. The tranquil surroundings and fresh mountain air make the ride delightful. After around four hours of trekking, you'll arrive at the lovely Naltar Lake, which is surrounded by alpine landscape. The lake is famed for its trout fishing and peaceful setting. Upon arrival, camp will be put up beside the lake, providing a peaceful overnight stay in nature.
Day 05: Naltar Lake – Lower Shani
On this Day
Today is a longer trekking day, but the terrain stays manageable. The journey begins with a slow ascent up Naltar Pass, which allows hikers to adjust to the increasing altitude. The trail provides amazing views of the surrounding peaks and landscapes. After six to eight hours of walking, you will arrive at Lower Shani, where you will set up a tent. The Naltar Glacier, located immediately below the campsite, adds to the visual magnificence. Towering Hindu Kush peaks dominate the skyline, providing an unforgettable backdrop for an overnight stay in camp.
Day 06: Lower Shani – Upper Shani
On this Day
This is a short hiking day, lasting roughly two hours to reach Upper Shani. The trail continues over picturesque terrain, with breathtaking mountain vistas. Upper Shani is located near the shore of Naltar Lake and provides a spectacular view of the surrounding area. The Naltar Peak stands out beyond the campsite, contributing to the spectacular scenery. Ibex and other wildlife are frequently observed grazing on the surrounding mountains. After arriving at camp, you'll have time to unwind and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Overnight stay in the camp.
Day 07: Upper Shani – Naltar Pass (4600 m)

This is the most difficult and physically taxing day of the trek. The route includes a difficult ascent of nearly 3000 feet to Naltar Pass at an elevation of 4600 meters. The trail has difficult sections and glacier crossings that require careful navigation. Regardless of the difficulties, the reward is great. From the top, panoramic vistas reveal spectacular peaks like Rakaposhi, Dobani, and Nanga Parbat. After spending time at the pass, you will return to camp or a predetermined location. After a long yet fulfilling day, spend the night at camp.
Day 08: Trek to Pakore
On this Day
Today's walk is very straightforward as you descend toward Pakore hamlet in the Ishkoman Valley. The downhill trail winds through picturesque vistas, including verdant valleys and running streams. The steady descent brings comfort after days of arduous hiking. As you approach Pakore, you'll feel the warmth of local village life and traditional culture. When you arrive, you will check into a camp or a guesthouse. The tranquil surroundings and kind natives make this an unforgettable experience. Overnight stays in Pakore provide for rest and healing.
Day 09: Drive to Gilgit
On this Day
After breakfast, return to Gilgit by jeep or van. The journey takes about three hours and travels through the rich valleys of Ishkoman and Punial. Along the trip, you will pass by orchards full of fruit and beautiful rural scenery. The path provides one final opportunity to explore the region's natural splendor. When you arrive in Gilgit, check into your accommodation. The remainder of the day is free to relax or explore the town. The overnight stay in Gilgit marks the end of the hiking phase.
Day 10: Fly to Islamabad

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight to Islamabad, depending on weather circumstances. The flight again offers breathtaking aerial views of the northern mountain ranges. When you arrive in Islamabad, you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for leisure activities, such as shopping or visiting neighboring sights like the Faisal Mosque or local markets. This day allows you to relax after the walk and reflect on your experience. An overnight stay in Islamabad ensures a comfortable conclusion to your tour.
Day 11: Fly to Home Country
On this Day
Following breakfast, you will be transported to the airport for your international departure. Depending on your travel schedule, you may have time for some last-minute shopping or relaxing at the hotel. This concludes your Naltar Pass trekking journey, which included breathtaking vistas, cultural encounters, and adventure. As you leave, you'll remember the towering peaks, tranquil lakes, and distinctive beauty of northern Pakistan. The adventure ends with a sense of accomplishment and gratitude for one of the region's most beautiful trekking paths.
Why Register Early?
1. Early Bird Discount: The given prices for the holiday are limited-time discount offers and are subject to change. Service providers including (but not limited) to airlines and hotels increase prices in peak-season. Early reservations cost less than peak-season.
2. Limited Flight Seats: Domestic flight seats to the Karakorams and Himalayas are sold out way ahead of time because there are only two daily flights during peak season. Among other things, the deposit is used to book domestic flights for you in advance.
3. Pay Balance after arrival in Pakistan: In these unusual times, we appreciate that paying the final balance for your trip may cause concern. Our policy is to only receive your final balance once you arrive in Pakistan. The only payment before arrival is the deposit.
4. Deposit valid for 3 years: We understand the uncertainty surrounding the pandemic (Covid-19). As part of our relaxed booking conditions following Covid-19, deposits are valid for 2 years.

Refund Policy for All
Deposit: Once paid, the deposit is non-refundable (but valid for 2 years) as it will be spent on making in-country arrangements.
Balance: Pay the balance only after arrival in Pakistan on the first day. Payment guidelines will be shared timely.
Currency
All international travelers can pay in US Dollars (USD) or equivalent in Euros (EUR) or Pound Sterling (GBP). Pakistani travelers are charged the equivalent in Pakistani Rupees (PKR).
Single Supplement
Separate hotel rooms (single supplement) will cost an additional USD 290. This includes all hotel nights. This payment should be made with the balance upon arrival.
Separate tents (single tent) will cost an additional USD 180. This includes the cost of additional porterage. This payment should also be made with the balance in Pakistan.
