Khosar Gang Expedition – CLIMB ONLY (2024-25) – 9 days

We have designed this “climb only” itinerary for those who choose to organize their logistics themselves in Islamabad and Skardu and only require trekking and climbing services from Apricot Tours. The services for this itinerary start from pick-up from hotel in Skardu and end at drop in Skardu. The participants interested in this Skardu to Skardu service will actually be joining the same groups arriving from Islamabad who have booked the 15 days all-inclusive adventure.

Dates & Cost – Khosar Gang Expedition – CLIMB ONLY

The start and end dates in the table below are your dates of arrival in Skardu and return to Skardu from the trek. The groups arriving from Islamabad will also arrive on the same date ideally. In case of flight cancellation in the morning, they will start their journey by road (via Karakoram Highway) from Islamabad airport and complete this journey in 2 days, reaching Skardu the next day. This may also affect the ending date of the trek. Traveling by road is a backup plan as we cannot risk delays by trying to get on the flight the next day. In case of cancellation of flights due to any reason, Apricot Tours will not be responsible for any or all costs incurred (e.g. accommodation, meals, etc) in Skardu by travelers before the trek starts. Likewise, we will not be responsible for any additional cost incurred after drop in Skardu. If you want this to be covered, we recommend you book our all-inclusive adventure.

An early start is needed to create an enabling environment for firm snow on the route and good weather. The route is mostly on snow, followed by a gently angled ridge for the first hour before reaching a steeper section. Around 100m of rope will be fixed by Apricot Tours leader on the steepest part before the angle eases and moderate slopes lead to the summit. (5-6hrs ascent, 3-4hrs descent).
