Rakhan Gali Trek – Overview

Rakhan Gali Trek, an alpine pass rising to 4548 metres, emerges as a hidden gem among the towering splendour of the Rakaposhi-Haramosh Range in the Karakoram. This mountain pass joins two captivating valleys in northern Pakistan: Bagrot and Haramosh.

Rakhan Gali is recognised for its breathtaking beauty. This high-altitude route offers a picturesque ride across difficult terrain, snaking around the southern borders of the majestic Rakaposhi-Haramosh Range. It is, however, a less-travelled path. Locals in the area frequently drive along the well-established roads that connect the communities nestled within these valleys.

Rakhan Gali, on the other hand, appeals to people seeking to transcend the ordinary and commune with nature in its purest form. It provides an expedition full of not only stunning scenery but also the calm of seclusion, a rare commodity in an increasingly interconnected world.

Rakhan Gali is a testament to the Karakoram’s pristine splendour. It beckons anyone with an adventurous spirit to explore its less-travelled trails and witness the raw magnificence of one of the world’s most breathtaking mountain ranges. While it is not the most direct route, it offers a journey full of natural beauties and a soothing embrace of solitude amidst the grandeur of the Karakoram.
