On this Day

After breakfast, proceed to the Oybek border to fulfill visa and passport formalities before meeting the Tajik guide and continue to Khujand, once known as Alexandria Eschate. Begin your sightseeing with Pushkin Square and Kamoli Khudjandi Square, followed by Timur Malik's Fortress and the Sugd Museum. Explore the Muslihiddin Memorial Complex and the famous Panjshanbe Bazaar, which have long been intertwined with Silk Road trade. Discover Arbob Palace, which is essential in Tajikistan's independence history. After lunch at a local café, return to the Oybek border, complete formalities, and transfer back to Tashkent to spend the night at the hotel.

On this Day

Transfer to the airport for your trip to Urgench. Upon arrival, meet the Apricot Tours driver and go to Khiva. After leaving your luggage at the hotel, meet your guide and begin a walking tour of Ichan-Kala, the inner town, and the open-air museum. Visit the Ata-Darvaza, Kunya-Ark, Muhammad Rahim Khan, and Muhammad Aminhan Madrasahs, as well as the stunning Kalta Minor. Explore Allakulihan Palace, Tash Hauli's harem, Caravanserai and Tim Allakulihan, and Seyd Allaudin's Mausoleum. Continue to Islam-Khoja Madrassah and Minaret, followed by the Jami Mosque and Minaret before retiring to the hotel.

Before spending the night in Bukhara, take advantage of your spare time to wander local streets or relax at the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel is followed by a guided walking tour of Bukhara's historical centre. Visit the Lyabi Hauz ensemble, which includes the Kukeldash Madrassa and Nadir Divanbegi constructions, as well as Khoja Nasreddin's memorial. Explore the old Magoki Attari Mosque and visit Abdullakhan's Tim and Caravanserai Sayfuddin, both traditional craft hubs. Explore the trading domes of Toki Sarrofon, Telpak Furushon, and Zargaron. Continue to the paired Ulugbek and Abdulazizkhan Madrassahs, followed by the large Poi Kalon complex, which includes the Kalon Minaret, Kalon Mosque, and Mir Arab Madrassa. After breakfast, spend some free time in Bukhara before traveling for Samarkand. En way, stop by the famed Gijduvan pottery workshop to see master artists show traditional ceramic production techniques such as shaping clay on the wheel, making natural paints, embellishing, drying, and burning. Explore the museum hall, which features stunning ceramic masterpieces from Gijduvan and other parts of Uzbekistan. An optional ceramic painting master workshop is available upon request. Continue your journey to Samarkand, and upon arrival, transfer to your hotel to check in. The rest of the day is free to relax before the overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel precedes a thorough tour of Samarkand. Visit the Gur Emir Mausoleum, the final resting place of Amir Timur and his successors. Continue to Registan Square, where Ulugbek, Sherdor, and Tilla Kori Madrassahs make a stunning sight. Explore the Bibi Khanim Mosque, historically one of the largest in Islam, as well as the Shahi Zinda Necropolis, which features ornate mausoleums. Wander around Siyab Bazaar to discover local cuisine and crafts. Transfer to the railway station to catch the high-speed train to Tashkent. Upon arrival, meet the driver and transfer to the hotel for the night.
