Day 03: Trek to Bualtar Glacier
On this Day
Your journey begins in Hoper Village and descends onto the rough terrain of the Bualtar Glacier. The trail crosses moraines, rough slopes, and ice surfaces, which need steady footing and concentration. You will be surrounded by stunning glacial formations and towering peaks, experiencing the raw beauty of the Karakoram Mountains. After several hours of trekking, you'll arrive at a comfortable campground near the glacier, where you may unwind and acclimatize in this secluded alpine setting.
Day 04: Trek to Miar Gali La Base Camp
On this Day
You will continue deeper into the forest, eventually arriving at the base of Miar Gali La. The route runs through glacial valleys, with some steep parts and rocky ridges. The terrain becomes more distant, with less evidence of human activity. Along the route, you may come across little streams and panoramic views of nearby peaks. When you arrive at base camp, you will prepare for the impending pass crossing by getting enough rest and acclimating to the higher altitude.
Day 05: Miar Gali La (4,980m)
On this Day
Today is the most difficult and rewarding day, as you climb to Miar Gali La at 4,980 meters. The ascent includes steep snow slopes and perhaps icy areas, necessitating cautious movement and coordination. The surrounding countryside provides fantastic chances for photography and relaxation after a long day of trekking.
Day 08: Trek to Hapakun
On this Day
Today's hike takes you farther down the valley toward Hapakun, along a picturesque track past streams and lush meadows.
