On this Day

Take a beautiful morning flight from Islamabad to Gilgit, which provides breathtaking aerial views of the Karakoram range, including views of Nanga Parbat on clear days. Upon arrival, transfer to your accommodation and spend the day adjusting to the altitude. You can tour Gilgit town, visit local bazaars, or rest by the riverside. Final trek preparations and equipment checks are carried out in the evening to ensure adventure readiness.

On this Day

After breakfast, meet with your hiking group and drive from Gilgit to Sassi. From here, switch to 4x4 jeeps for an exciting off-road adventure to Dassu. When you arrive, start your journey towards Askere, traveling rocky trails through dramatic mountain scenery. Reach the Askere campsite, pitch your tents, and eat a freshly prepared meal. The rest of the day is free to relax and acclimate while taking in the peaceful surroundings.

On this Day

Begin trekking early toward the renowned Laila Peak Base Camp, steadily ascending through alpine landscape and glacial valleys. The hike provides breathtaking views of steep ridges and towering peaks. Arrive at the base camp at 3,600 meters, where you will set up a tent surrounded by a stunning landscape. Spend the afternoon relaxing and acclimating while admiring the spectacular presence of Laila Peak on the skyline.

On this Day

Today's trip takes you deeper into the rugged Karakoram wilderness, toward the next base camp. The route passes through harsh glacier terrain, moraine fields, and stunning valleys, necessitating careful footing and a steady pace. Along the trip, take in breathtaking vistas of nearby peaks and virgin landscapes unspoiled by human development. When you get to base camp, pitch your tents and get some rest. This position is an important acclimatization point before ascending to higher elevations.

On this Day

Proceed to Baskai Col High Camp, gaining elevation as the terrain becomes steeper and more difficult. The walk entails crossing rocky hills and snowy areas, which requires concentration and endurance. As you travel higher, the scenery becomes more stunning, with enormous glaciers and towering mountains. Once you get to high camp, set up your tents and prepare for the forthcoming pass crossing. Early slumber is critical for conserving energy for the upcoming difficult day.

On this Day

Today is the hardest and most rewarding stage, as you pass Baskai Col at 5,625 meters. The ascent begins early, with cautious navigation of steep snow slopes and ice portions. When you reach the summit, you may enjoy stunning panoramic views of the Karakoram's immense extent. After celebrating your victory, descend slightly and set up camp near the col. The great altitude needs constant monitoring, rest, and hydration throughout the day.

On this Day

Begin your descent from Baskai Col to Spantik Peak Base Camp. The road winds through glaciers and moraine-covered valleys, progressively diminishing in difficulty as altitude drops. Along the route, take in beautiful views of Spantik, often known as the "Golden Peak." Arrive at base camp and pitch tents in a picturesque alpine environment. The rest of the day is spent relaxing and recovering from the rigorous pass crossing.

On this Day

Continue trekking toward Bolocho Camp, passing through picturesque valleys and glacier terrain. The track is a mix of stony roads and grassy spots, with periodic streams crossing it. As you lower in altitude, breathing becomes easier and the environment more pleasant. Arrive at the Bolocho tent, located at 3,820 meters, where you will set up your tent and relax. After days spent at high altitude, the surroundings offer fantastic chances for photography and peaceful thought.

On this Day

Today's trek takes you to Chogo Brangsa Camp by a slow descent through river valleys and difficult terrain. The terrain is considerably easier, allowing for a slower pace while yet providing breathtaking vistas of the surrounding peaks and glaciers. As you approach camp at 3,400 meters, the scenery grows greener and more attractive. Set up camp and spend a tranquil evening reflecting on your adventure so far and the dramatic sights you've seen.

On this Day

Trek toward Arandu, bringing you back to human settlements after days in the woods. The trail winds through lovely valleys, little streams, and gradually broadening scenery. As you reach Arandu, you'll observe a transition from an alpine environment to cultivated fields and village life. Upon arrival, take advantage of the local community's hospitality and celebrate the completion of the trekking leg of your journey.

On this Day

Depart Arandu by jeep and travel through the scenic Shigar Valley to Skardu. The tour provides breathtaking views of rivers, cliffs, and quaint villages along the way. When you arrive in Skardu, check into your accommodation and relax. The shift from tough trekking to pleasant accommodations allows time to relax, refresh, and reflect on the wonderful journey through the Karakoram mountains.

On this Day

Spend the day discovering the natural and cultural treasures of Skardu. Visit tranquil lakes like Shangrila and Upper Kachura, or discover local bazaars and historical places like Skardu Fort. The day is flexible, allowing you to unwind or participate in light touring activities. Surrounded by stunning mountains, Skardu is an ideal place to unwind after the trip while still experiencing the grandeur of Baltistan's scenery and cultural diversity.

On this Day

Take a return flight from Skardu to Islamabad if the weather permits. The journey provides an opportunity to see the magnificence of the Karakoram from above. Upon arrival in Islamabad, transfer to your hotel and spend your final evening in Pakistan. You can choose to tour the city more, shop for souvenirs, or simply rest. This concludes your mountain experience and brings you back to metropolitan comfort.

On this Day

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your international departure. Reflect on the remarkable experiences of the Baskai Col Trek, which included high-altitude passes, secluded valleys, and colorful local cultures. Board your trip back home, filled with memories of breathtaking scenery and personal accomplishments. This concludes an incredible journey through one of the world's most breathtaking mountain ranges.
