Day 02: Journey to Astore
On this Day
Leave Chilas and take the Karakoram Highway along the Indus River until the Thalichi junction. Turn onto the Astore Valley road and travel through tight gorges, riverside towns, and varied mountain vistas. Arrive in Astore town, settle into your hotel, and meet the local hiking crew. Examine the excursion plan, evaluate personal equipment, organize camping supplies, and finalize porter arrangements for the remote crossing from Dichar Valley to Susurlat Valley in Rondu.
Day 03: Travel to Lower Dichar Valley Camp

Begin the tour in Astore and head toward Dashkin, a well-known destination in the Astore District. Continue on the local jeep or village track to Dichar, sometimes called Dichal in some sources. Meet the trekking group, organize camping supplies, and enter the remote valley beside the stream. Before arriving at a decent campground in the lower valley, the trail passes through farmed terrain, scattered trees, and narrowing mountain slopes. Set up camp near a reliable source of water and prepare for the more difficult portions ahead.
Day 04: Trek to Pass Approach Camp

Continue deeper into Dichar Valley, where the cultivated environment gives way to wide grazing fields, steep slopes, and alpine scenery. Follow the stream through side channels and uneven portions chosen by the local guide. The ascent gets more difficult as the valley narrows beneath the rocky mountains. Reach an upper-valley campground below the pass approach, with water and shelter. Review equipment and organize loads for the passage.
Day 05: Trek Across the Pass to Upper Susurlat Valley

Leave the upper camp and ascend across scree, rocks, and possible seasonal snow to Dichar Pass. Because there is no designated tourist trail, the trip necessitates precise pacing, close instruction, and coordinated porter backup. View the surrounding peaks from the crossing before making a cautious descent down the Susurlat watershed. Continue across loose slopes and alpine terrain until you reach a protected campsite in Upper Susurlat Valley. Make a tent near the stream and rest after the strenuous journey.
Day 06: Upper Susurlat Valley to Rondu

Descend through Susurlat Valley, following the stream through tight gorges, grazing regions, and rocky mountain routes. The environment gradually transforms as alpine terrain gives way to greenery, seasonal communities, and farmed terraces. Continue to Susurlat village, where the trekking segment stops and local transportation begins. Proceed to the next road link in Rondu, following current track conditions and guide recommendations. Finish the excursion by making the distant crossing from Astore into Baltistan.
Day 07: Journey to Besham
On this Day
Depart Rondu and continue along the Indus River area to rejoin the Karakoram Highway. Continue south via magnificent rocky gorges, secluded communities, and shifting scenery in Gilgit-Baltistan. Pass Chilas before arriving in Besham for an overnight stay, and take one last spectacular drive over the highlands.
Day 08: Drive to Islamabad

After breakfast, proceed south through the Hazara region to Islamabad. Arrive in the capital, marking the end of the Astore to Rondu Trek, having completed the rugged mountain crossing from Dichar Valley to Susurlat Valley and the spectacular overland return from Baltistan.
Why Register Early?
1. Early Bird Discount: The given prices for the holiday are limited-time discount offers and are subject to change. Service providers including (but not limited) to airlines and hotels increase prices in peak-season. Early reservations cost less than peak-season.
2. Limited Flight Seats: Domestic flight seats to the Karakorams and Himalayas are sold out way ahead of time because there are only two daily flights during peak season. Among other things, the deposit is used to book domestic flights for you in advance.
3. Pay Balance after arrival in Pakistan: In these unusual times, we appreciate that paying the final balance for your trip may cause concern. Our policy is to only receive your final balance once you arrive in Pakistan. The only payment before arrival is the deposit.
4. Deposit valid for 3 years: We understand the uncertainty surrounding the pandemic (Covid-19). As part of our relaxed booking conditions following Covid-19, deposits are valid for 2 years.

Refund Policy for All
Deposit: Once paid, the deposit is non-refundable (but valid for 2 years) as it will be spent on making in-country arrangements.
Balance: Pay the balance only after arrival in Pakistan on the first day. Payment guidelines will be shared timely.
Currency
All international travelers can pay in US Dollars (USD) or equivalent in Euros (EUR) or Pound Sterling (GBP). Pakistani travelers are charged the equivalent in Pakistani Rupees (PKR).
Single Supplement
Separate hotel rooms (single supplement) will cost an additional USD 290. This includes all hotel nights. This payment should be made with the balance upon arrival.
Separate tents (single tent) will cost an additional USD 180. This includes the cost of additional porterage. This payment should also be made with the balance in Pakistan.
