Day 02: Journey to Domail Rainbow Lake
On this Day
Travel from Chilam across the steep Burzil Pass, which is flanked by wide valleys, alpine streams, and high mountain ranges. Descend toward Minimarg, register at local checkpoints, and then continue toward Domail in a suitable four-wheel-drive vehicle. Explore Rainbow Lake, where crystal blue water reflects forested hills, craggy summits, lush meadows, and seasonal wildflowers. Take walks around the lake and shoot the changing colours. Overnight stay in Domail.
Day 03: Drive back to Gilgit
On this Day
Drive back via Minimarg and Burzil Pass to Chilam, then leave the Astore region and follow the mountain road through Gorikot to the Indus Valley. Stop for magnificent views overlooking the Astore River, agricultural terraces, and nearby peaks. Rejoin the Karakoram Highway near Jaglot and continue toward Gilgit over spectacular river scenery. Arrive in Gilgit after a short trip through Chilam, Burzil Pass, Minimarg, Domail, and Rainbow Lake. The tour concludes with drop-off at the designated hotel or a local address.
