Day 02: Fly/Drive to Chitral
On this Day
Today, you will either take a picturesque flight or drive to Chitral, which is both long and rewarding. The flight provides stunning aerial views of the Hindu Kush mountains, while the drive traverses dramatic landscapes and valleys. Upon arrival, you will check into your accommodation and unwind. The evening can be spent exploring the town or getting ready for the cultural and trekking adventures that await.
Day 03: Day Visit to Bumburet & Rumbur Valley
On this Day
After breakfast, you will explore the picturesque Kalash valleys of Bumburet and Rumbur, which are home to the unique Kalash culture. You will visit traditional communities, observe unique customs, and interact with the inhabitants. The valleys boast beautiful green vistas and an intriguing cultural heritage. By nightfall, you will return to Chitral, where you can unwind and reflect on your fascinating cultural experience.
Day 04: Drive to Chapali Village
On this Day
As you drive from Chitral to Chapali Village, you'll enter more remote alpine country. The path is rugged, passing through gorgeous valleys, rivers, and traditional communities. Upon arrival, you will meet your trekking group and arrange plans for the following walk. The quiet town ambiance provides an insight into native mountain life. Spend the evening recuperating and acclimatizing for the hike that starts the next day.
Day 05: Trek to Shal Summer Hut
On this Day
Your journey begins with a steady ascent from Chapali Village to the Shal Summer Hut. The trail winds through alpine meadows, woodlands, and open landscapes, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks. The hike takes from four to six hours, with time for rest and photos. When you get to the hut, you will set up camp and relax in the tranquil alpine setting, surrounded by natural beauty and the calm of high-altitude wilderness.
Day 06: Cross Chumarkhan Pass (4,328m) – Trek to Barsat
On this Day
This is the most difficult and rewarding day of the trek, as you traverse the beautiful Chumarkhan Pass at 4,328 meters. The ascent is strenuous, but it provides beautiful panoramic views of the Hindu Kush range. After reaching the pass, you will gently descend into Barsat via rocky and grassy terrain. The long day concludes at your campground in Barsat, where you may relax and celebrate reaching the summit of the adventure.
Day 07: Drive to Phandar Valley – Exploration

After breakfast, you'll drive to the breathtaking Phandar Valley, which is famed for its tranquil lakes and lush green surroundings. The trek provides picturesque views of rivers, mountains, and tiny settlements. Upon arrival, you will explore the valley, go for tranquil walks, and appreciate the natural beauty of the surroundings. The tranquil environment and picturesque surroundings make it a great location to unwind after a strenuous hike.
Day 08: Drive to Gilgit
On this Day
Today, you will journey along a picturesque route to Gilgit, the region's administrative hub. The trip provides stunning views of rivers, valleys, and towering mountains. Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel and have the opportunity to tour local bazaars or relax. Gilgit offers a blend of traditional experiences and modern amenities, making it an ideal stopover before returning to Islamabad.
Day 09: Fly to Islamabad
On this Day
In the morning, you will fly back to Islamabad, taking in amazing aerial views of the Karakoram and Himalayan peaks, weather permitting. When you arrive, you will be transported to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free for leisure activities, shopping, and sightseeing in the capital. This is an excellent opportunity to relax after your trek and reflect on your fantastic experience through northern Pakistan.
Day 10: Fly to Home Country
On this Day
Following breakfast, you will be taken to Islamabad International Airport for your departure flight. Ensure that all belongings and travel documents are prepared for a seamless voyage. As you depart, you will bring lasting memories of spectacular views, rich cultural exchanges, and the accomplishment of crossing a high-altitude mountain pass in the stunning Hindu Kush region.
Why Register Early?
1. Early Bird Discount: The given prices for the holiday are limited-time discount offers and are subject to change. Service providers including (but not limited) to airlines and hotels increase prices in peak-season. Early reservations cost less than peak-season.
2. Limited Flight Seats: Domestic flight seats to the Karakorams and Himalayas are sold out way ahead of time because there are only two daily flights during peak season. Among other things, the deposit is used to book domestic flights for you in advance.
3. Pay Balance after arrival in Pakistan: In these unusual times, we appreciate that paying the final balance for your trip may cause concern. Our policy is to only receive your final balance once you arrive in Pakistan. The only payment before arrival is the deposit.
4. Deposit valid for 3 years: We understand the uncertainty surrounding the pandemic (Covid-19). As part of our relaxed booking conditions following Covid-19, deposits are valid for 2 years.
6. Pay Minimum Deposit: The deposits for the holiday are also early-bird discounts and automatically change accordingly:

Refund Policy for All
Deposit: Once paid, the deposit is non-refundable (but valid for 2 years) as it will be spent on making in-country arrangements.
Balance: Pay the balance only after arrival in Pakistan on the first day. Payment guidelines will be shared timely.
Currency
All international travelers can pay in US Dollars (USD) or equivalent in Euros (EUR) or Pound Sterling (GBP). Pakistani travelers are charged the equivalent in Pakistani Rupees (PKR).
Single Supplement
Separate hotel rooms (single supplement) will cost an additional USD 290. This includes all hotel nights. This payment should be made with the balance upon arrival.
Separate tents (single tent) will cost an additional USD 180. This includes the cost of additional porterage. This payment should also be made with the balance in Pakistan.
