Day 01: Gilgit to Astore and Rama Valley
Depart Gilgit and proceed south through Jaglot, following the Karakoram Highway before turning toward Astore Valley. Continue along the Indus and Astore rivers, through steep gorges, mountain towns, and farmed terraces. Stop at Astore for refreshments and local sightseeing, then transfer to a suitable jeep for the trek to Rama Valley. Explore the pine, cedar, and juniper forests surrounding Rama Meadows, take in the panoramic mountain views, and stay at a hotel or camp.
Day 02: Rama Lake Excursion and Return to Gilgit
Depart Gilgit and head south through Jaglot, following the Karakoram Highway before turning toward Astore Valley. Stop at Astore for refreshments and local sightseeing before transferring to an appropriate jeep for the hike to Rama Valley.
