The itinerary for the tour is given below.
Day 02: Drive to Tarashing via Astore
On this Day
Leave Chilas and take the Karakoram Highway to the Astore turnoff near Jaglot. Enter Astore Valley along the Astore River, going through settlements, agricultural terraces, and sheer mountain walls. Continue via Astore and Gorikot before taking the beautiful route to Tarashing, the main entrance to Rupal Valley. Arrive beneath the southern slopes of Nanga Parbat, check into a modest hotel, and enjoy the rural scenery. Overnight stay in Tarashing.
Day 03: Rupal Valley Excursion
On this Day
Explore Tarashing and journey deeper into Rupal Valley with a local guide, following the trail to Rupal town and nearby mountain vistas. Walk past traditional towns, agriculture, streams, and open meadows, all framed by the massive Rupal Face of Nanga Parbat. View the Tarashing Glacier area from secure vantage points and learn about native alpine life. After the valley adventure, return to Tarashing for some relaxing exploring and shooting. Overnight stay in Tarashing.
Day 04: Lower Rupal Face Trip and Viewpoints
On this Day
Continue exploring Tarashing's upper environs with a guided trip along the lower Rupal Face trekking trail. Follow reasonable sections toward the meadows and overlooks that lead to Herrligkoffer Base Camp, rather than trying the entire walk. Enjoy panoramic views of glaciers, rocky ridges, grazing areas, and Nanga Parbat's southern wall. After the expedition, return to Tarashing along the same route and enjoy a relaxing village walk with mountain views. This is our third overnight stay in Tarashing.
Day 05: Drive back to Chilas
On this Day
Depart Tarashing and follow the mountain road through Gorikot to Astore. Stop at various locations for a different perspective on the valley's communities, including the river, terraced fields, and surrounding peaks. Continue to the Karakoram Highway near Jaglot, then follow the Indus corridor south to Chilas. The return trip combines village landscape with spectacular bare mountains and steep canyons. Arrive in Chilas, settle into your hotel, and recover before returning to Islamabad.
Day 06: Drive to Islamabad
On this Day
Leave Chilas and continue the last overland journey to Islamabad via the Indus River and Karakoram Highway. Pass through Kohistan's mountain communities, small valleys, and steep gorges before continuing to Besham, Mansehra, Abbottabad, and the Hazara region. Suitable stops allow passengers to rest and appreciate the scenery along the way. The terrain progressively transitions from high, arid mountains to greener foothills and metropolitan areas. Arrive at Islamabad, where the six-day Rupal Valley Tour ends.

Overview – Rupal Valley Tour
The Rupal Valley Tour showcases one of Gilgit-Baltistan’s most stunning Himalayan landscapes beneath Nanga Parbat’s imposing southern face. The journey begins in Astore Valley and continues to Tarashing, the primary entry to this inaccessible alpine region. Along the way, travelers will see winding rivers, agricultural terraces, traditional towns, and craggy peaks. Furthermore, Tarashing provides serene surroundings and breathtaking views of glaciers, meadows, and towering mountain cliffs. Furthermore, changing scenery makes each part of the voyage visually interesting. As a result, the tour is ideal for nature enthusiasts, photographers, families, and travelers looking for quieter sites outside of Pakistan’s well-known northern roads.
Visitors to the Rupal Valley can discover village pathways and views that overlook the breathtaking Rupal Face. In addition, guided treks highlight alpine pastures, glacier landscapes, pristine streams, and the valley’s unique rural lifestyle. Nanga Parbat, at 8,126 metres, serves as the Himalayas’ western anchor point. Meanwhile, the vast mountain backdrop provides ideal conditions for landscape photography and unique outdoor adventures. Although deeper routes necessitate hiking experience, shorter excursions are accessible to many active travelers. As a result, this vacation blends gorgeous driving, cultural contacts, moderate exploration, and authentic Himalayan wilderness into a wonderful holiday.
