Transfer is organized to Tashkent's municipal airport for the journey to Nukus. Upon arrival, you will meet with the local driver and guide before beginning your sightseeing. The Savitsky Museum is well-known for its collections of Karakalpak art, Uzbek fine arts, and Russian avant-garde classics curated by Igor Savitsky. The voyage continues through semi-desert landscapes to Muynak, a previously prosperous port on the Aral Sea that is now noted for its ship cemetery, which represents environmental change. Following breakfast, a transport is scheduled to the Shavat-Dashoguz border crossing for formalities before entering Turkmenistan. On the Turkmen side, the trek continues to Kunya Urgench, a significant historical town in the medieval Khorezm Empire. The sights include Najmuddin Kubra's mausoleum, the Torebeg-Hanym Mausoleum, the Mamun and Kutlug-Timur minarets, the Kyrkmolla Mausoleum, and the ancient Arslan II Mausoleum. The road then continues deep into the Karakum Desert, reaching the Darwaza gas crater. This continuously burning natural gas field, discovered in 1971, offers a breathtaking and unique landscape.
