Day 02: Aral Sea - Muynak - Nukus
On this Day
Following breakfast at the camp, the excursion starts from the Aral Sea area and goes to Muynak over red canyons and huge former seabed terrain. The somber Ship Cemetery is explored here, as well as a visit to the local museum commemorating the Aral Sea catastrophe, which provides insight into the region's natural history. Lunch is scheduled at a small café or guesthouse in town. The return journey to Nukus includes significant stops at the ancient Mizdakhan Necropolis and the remains of the Gyaur-Kala stronghold, allowing for reflection on the vistas encountered along the way. After arriving in Nukus, you will check into your accommodation and spend the night.
Day 03: Nukus - Ayaz Kala & Toprak Kala - Khiva

Breakfast at the hotel leads a cultural tour to Nukus' renowned Savitsky Museum, also known as the Karakalpakstan State Museum of Art, which houses a remarkable collection. The voyage continues to the Kyzylkum Desert, where the ancient Khorezm legacy is explored. En route, trips are planned to the spectacular Ayaz Kala and Toprak Kala fortresses, including treks up to the remains and opportunity for photography across the desert plains. Following the visits, the trip continues to Khiva, where you will check into your hotel, explore on your own, and spend the night, accentuating the contrast between massive architecture and the dry surroundings.
Day 04: Khiva Old Town - Tashkent

Following breakfast, a guided walking tour of Khiva's walled old town, Ichan-Kala, begins with an overview at the Ata-Darvaza gate. The journey visits Kunya Ark Fortress, Muhammad Rahim Khan Madrassa, Kalta Minor Minaret, and the ornate Tash Hauli Palace. Viewing continues from the exterior of Allakuli Khan Caravanserai, the respected Pahlavan Mahmud Mausoleum, the Islam-Khoja Minaret and Madrassa for panoramic views, and the atmospheric Juma Mosque and Minaret. Personal exploration, shopping, and café visits are all possible during your free time. The tour concludes with a transfer to Urgench Airport for a flight to Tashkent and a hotel transfer, leaving guests with lasting memories of Khiva's legacy.
