Itinerary – Tholaye Bar Meadow Trek
Tholaye Bar Meadow Trek (Nagar) – Day Trip
Depart from Karimabad and follow the Karakoram Highway to Chalt in Nagar Valley. Leave the highway around Chalt and travel by four-wheel drive vehicle through Budalas and Bar Valley. The steep mountain route runs through farmed terraces, traditional communities, streams, and stunning rocky slopes. Continue to Daitar Valley, where the road terminates, and the trek to Tholaye Bar Meadow begins. Follow the local walk through grazing areas, green hillsides, and stream-fed landscapes, gradually ascending.
Reach Tholaye Bar Meadow and enjoy the tranquil alpine settings, seasonal wildflowers, waterfalls, and panoramic mountain views. Take the time to explore the meadow, photograph the scenery, and have a packed picnic by the streams. Then, return trek to Daitar Valley and meet the waiting vehicle. Return through Bar Valley and Chalt before rejoining the Karakoram Highway. Continue to Karimabad, completing a rewarding day excursion via one of Nagar Valley’s lonely alpine settings.
