On this Day

After breakfast, drive to Bamiyan along the picturesque road, which passes through Maidan Wardak Province and the Hajigak Pass. Once permissions have been obtained, continue your journey to the beautiful Band-e-Amir National Park, where crystal-clear lakes nestle among craggy mountains, creating a spectacular natural backdrop. Before returning to Bamiyan, go sightseeing or take a boat trip on the tranquil waters. Dinner and overnight stay will be arranged in a suitable hotel.

On this Day

Begin the day by visiting Bamiyan's most prominent historical landmarks. Discover the ancient Ghulghula City, a thriving Silk Road hub, and the incredible Buddha Caves, which once housed the world's tallest standing Buddha sculptures. Continue to Zahak Castle, a red-brick fortification steeped in history and legend. Later, travel back to Kabul, stopping for lunch on the way. After arriving in Kabul in the evening, you will have dinner and spend the night at your hotel.

Take a domestic flight to Herat, where permissions will be issued before beginning your city tour. Visit the historic Khwaja Abdul Ansari Mosque and Shrine, then proceed to the majestic Herat Citadel (Fortress), which has stayed strong for generations. Admire the Herat Minarets and the Mosalla complex remnants, then pay your respects at the Gawhar Shad Mausoleum. End the day with a visit to Herat's Blue Mosque, which showcases the city's rich Islamic architecture and history.

After breakfast, head to the airport for your journey to Mazar-i-Sharif. Permits will be obtained upon arrival before embarking on a trip to the Balkh area, one of Afghanistan's most historically significant locations. Explore the remnants of the ancient Zoroastrian Fire Temple, also known as the Nine Vault Mosque, and stop at Khwaja Abdul Ansari Mosque. Visit the mausoleum of famous poetess Rabia Balkhi and the Balaysar Fortress. Other notable sites are the Palawan Ahmad Zumchi Shrine, the Shish Messenger Shrine, and the Monastery of Mawlana's father. Return to Mazar-i-Sharif in the evening to spend the night at the Hotel.
