After arriving, take a picturesque drive along the Karakoram Highway to Hunza Valley. The route runs through breathtaking scenery, rivers, and villages. Once in Hunza, check into your hotel and unwind while admiring the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and preparing for the impending climb.

On this Day

Today begins with a drive from Hunza to Minapin Village, the beginning location for the hike. The trail provides amazing views of Rakaposhi's majestic face. Porters and guides make final arrangements as they arrive, while trekkers prepare their kit. The calm village location provides a cultural introduction to the local lifestyle. Spend the afternoon acclimating and exploring the area before retiring for the night under the shade of towering peaks.

On this Day

The walk begins with a steep ascent through lush forests and open fields, leading to Hapakun. The trail winds through juniper trees and grassy slopes, providing views of Rakaposhi and Diran Peak. Streams and grazing fields enhance the picturesque attractiveness. The moderate ascent aids acclimatization while allowing trekkers to appreciate the tranquil surroundings. When you get to Hapakun, you'll find yourself in the middle of alpine meadows with breathtaking mountain vistas.

On this Day

As you continue to ascend, the terrain becomes steeper and rougher as you get closer to Tagaphari. The landscape changes from verdant pastures to rugged terrain, with panoramic vistas of glaciers and peaks. Rakaposhi's enormous wall dominates the skyline. The hike is physically challenging yet rewarding, with breathtaking scenery throughout. Upon arrival, the tent is set up on a high hill with amazing panoramic views of the surrounding Karakoram giants.

On this Day

Today's trip takes you farther into the high-altitude wilderness, towards Shabren. The route crosses moraines and glacier streams, necessitating cautious navigation. The landscape grows increasingly isolated and spectacular, with towering ice walls and harsh terrain. The hike pushes endurance while providing breathtaking views of snowcapped peaks. When you arrive at Shabren, the camp is in a harsh yet stunning setting, surrounded by the sheer strength of the mountains.

On this Day

The route continues toward Diran Base Camp, passing through glacial terrain and stony peaks. The altitude climb becomes more obvious, and the pace remains consistent for acclimation. The vistas of Diran Peak become more magnificent as you reach the base camp. Tents are placed along the glacier upon arrival, and the remainder of the day is spent recuperating and preparing for the hike to North Diran Col.

On this Day

An early start leads to a difficult ascent to the high camp below North Diran Col. The path entails crossing icy slopes and crevassed glacier parts, which requires technical knowledge. The altitude and terrain need concentration and collaboration. Once at high camp, climbers relax and prepare for the summit assault. The surrounding views of jagged peaks and extensive glaciers provide a spectacular high-altitude experience.

On this Day

The summit day begins before dawn as the team ascends to North Diran Col at 5,020 meters. The climb has steep snow slopes and requires careful footing on ice areas. Reaching the col provides trekkers with stunning views of both the Minapin and Hoper glaciers. After spending time at the summit, a camp is set up nearby, allowing hikers to thoroughly appreciate the high-altitude surroundings and celebrate their accomplishment.

On this Day

The descent from the col to Hoper Glacier begins with caution. The route needs caution when negotiating steep snow and glacier terrain. As altitude drops, breathing gets easier, and the surroundings progressively alter. The impressive ice structures and crevasses give breathtaking sights along the route. When you arrive at the glacier, you'll find yourself in a one-of-a-kind scene of ice and rock that marks the transition to lower elevations.

On this Day

The route descends toward Hoper Valley, passing via glacier tracks and steep trails before reaching greener territory. The contrast between cold vistas and lush valley fields is startling. When you arrive in Hoper, vans are waiting to take you back to Hunza. After days in the bush, the return to comfort is welcome. Check into your hotel and have a well-deserved break in the tranquil valley.

On this Day

This day is dedicated to discovering the beauty and culture of the Hunza Valley. Visit historic forts, quaint towns, and local marketplaces while admiring views of peaks such as Ultar and Lady Finger. The leisurely pace provides for cultural immersion and rehabilitation following the walk. Travelers can engage with the people, sample traditional cuisine, and take gorgeous photographs. The day is an ideal combination of rest and exploration.

On this Day

After breakfast, depart Hunza and return to Gilgit via the Karakoram Highway. The voyage retraces scenic routes, with possibilities for photo stops and short breaks. The trip via rivers, cliffs, and small communities provides a final glimpse of the region's stunning vistas. When you arrive in Gilgit, check into your hotel and unwind after a great hiking adventure.
