Day 02: Journey to Faizabad
On this Day
Depart Kabul and fly or drive to Faizabad, the province capital of Badakhshan. The tour shows you to northern Afghanistan's magnificent scenery and leads you to the distant northeast. When you arrive, tour the bustling bazaar to get a feel for this remote area. Stay overnight in Faizabad.
Day 03: Travel to Ishkashim
On this Day
Travel east through valleys and rocky mountains to Ishkashim, the town at the Wakhan Corridor's entrance. Ishkashim serves as both a border crossing with Tajikistan and a transportation hub for those moving deeper into the Wakhan. Spend time roaming around the community, going to the market, and talking with the inhabitants. Stay overnight in Ishkashim.
Day 04: Ishkashim to Qila-e-Panja

Continue driving farther into the Wakhan, following the Panj River until Tajikistan is visible across the valley. Arrive in Qila-e-Panja, an ancient settlement that has long served as a crossroads for travelers and traders. Explore the village, learn about the Wakhi way of life, and prepare for your trip to Upper Wakhan. Stay overnight in Qila-e-Panja.
Day 05-07: Qila-e-Panja to Sarhad-e-Broghil

After breakfast, start trek from Qila-e-Panja to Sarhad-e-Broghil, passing through a series of small valleys and typical Wakhi settlements. The journey begins in Avgarch, the first community east of Panja, and continues until Wuzed, a peaceful farming hamlet. The route then winds through Shelk, a roadside settlement, before arriving at Sargez, which is near the crucial Kotal-e-Sargez junction.
Further along, the valley narrows and widens at Wardi, a rural settlement with terraced fields, and Purwaksh, a picturesque village famed for its Wakhi homes and fertile terrain. The route next goes through Neshtkhwar, a small settlement on the side of the road, before arriving at Ptukh, the final major stop before Sarhad. Finally, arrive in Sarhad-e-Broghil, the Upper Wakhan's last significant town at 3,300 meters. The road comes to an end, and huge alpine meadows stretch toward the Pamirs. Day 08: Explore Sarhad-e-Broghil and its surroundings
On this Day
Spend the entire day touring Sarhad-e-Broghil and its surrounds. Walk through the town and meet local residents who continue to live a semi-nomadic lifestyle, keeping cattle and producing small plots in the high valley. Visit neighboring hot springs, experience panoramic views of Baba Tungi (6,513m), and go on short excursions into the surrounding meadows where yaks and donkeys graze. This is an excellent opportunity to enjoy the calm and beauty of Afghanistan's farthest frontier. Stay overnight in Sarhad-e-Broghil.
Day 09-11: Sarhad-e-Broghil to Qila-e-Panja

Retrace your steps back to Qila-e-Panja, going via the chain of Wakhi settlements. The return route provides different perspectives on the valley's surroundings and additional opportunities to interact with the friendly residents.
Day 12: Qila-e-Panja to Ishkashim
On this Day
Depart Qila-e-Panja and return to Ishkashim, marking the gradual end of the Wakhan Corridor. Spend the final evening in this frontier town, reflecting on your extraordinary journey through one of the world's most remote locations. Stay overnight in Ishkashim.
Day 13: Back to Kabul
On this Day
Begin your journey back to Kabul, either overland or by combining local flights. On arrival, spend your final evening in the capital city, shopping for souvenirs or revisiting popular locations. Overnight in Kabul.
Day 14: Departure from Afghanistan

Following breakfast, transfer to Kabul International Airport for your next trip. After a once-in-a-lifetime excursion into the Upper Wakhan and the hidden land of Sarhad-e-Broghil, bid Afghanistan farewell.

1. Early Bird Discount: The given prices for the holiday are limited-time discount offers and are subject to change. Service providers including (but not limited) to airlines and hotels increase prices in peak-season. Early reservations cost less than peak-season.
2. Limited Flight Seats: Domestic flight seats to the Pamir and Himalayas are sold out way ahead of time because there are only two daily flights during peak season. Among other things, the deposit is used to book domestic flights for you in advance.
3. Pay Balance after arrival in Afghanistan: In these unusual times, we appreciate that paying the final balance for your trip may cause concern. Our policy is to only receive your final balance once you arrive in Afghanistan. The only payment before arrival is the deposit.
4. Deposit valid for 3 years: We understand the uncertainty surrounding the pandemic (Covid-19). As part of our relaxed booking conditions following Covid-19, deposits are valid for 2 years.

Refund Policy for All
Deposit: Once paid, the deposit is non-refundable (but valid for 2 years) as it will be spent on making in-country arrangements.
Balance: Pay the balance only after arrival in Afghanistan on the first day. Payment guidelines will be shared timely.
Currency
All international travelers can pay in US Dollars (USD) or equivalent in Euros (EUR) or Pound Sterling (GBP). Pakistani travelers are charged the equivalent in Pakistani Rupees (PKR).
Single Supplement
Separate hotel rooms (single supplement) will cost an additional USD 290. This includes all hotel nights. This payment should be made with the balance upon arrival.
Separate tents (single tent) will cost an additional USD 180. This includes the cost of additional porterage. This payment should also be made with the balance in Afghanistan.
