Day 11: Rest Day or Contingency

A buffer day is included in the plan to account for the unpredictability of travel in these remote areas. Guests can spend the day relaxing in Ishkashim, enjoying local hospitality, or preparing for the journey back across the border or to Kabul. The night is spent in a guesthouse.
Day 12: Return journey to Kabul or Kunduz
On this Day
On this day, passengers must pick between two exit routes. One option is to go south to Kabul via the Hindukush and Salang Tunnels, stopping overnight at a secure four-star hotel in the capital. The second alternative is to travel east to Kunduz City, then to the Shirkhan Border entering, where you can stay in a small guesthouse before entering into Tajikistan.
Day 13: Departure from Afghanistan

Your departure will occur on the final day of the journey. Those departing from Kabul will be transferred to the international airport for onward flights.
