Depart Khaplu and drive to Haldi, a historic hamlet where the Saltoro and Hushe rivers meet. Continue throughout Saltoro Valley, following the river past harsh Karakoram terrain, farmland, traditional Balti towns, and stunning mountain panoramas. Admire the stunning Haldi Cones and stop at picturesque overlooks along the way. Discover accessible communities and enjoy the valley’s tranquil rural character, local scenery, and surrounding peaks. After exploring the lower Saltoro Valley, follow the picturesque path through Haldi back to Khaplu.
