Itinerary – Raminj Valley Tour – 02 Days
The itinerary for the tour is given below.
Day 01: Karimabad to Raminj Valley
Depart Karimabad and travel along the Karakoram Highway through Upper Hunza, past Attabad Lake, Gulmit, Passu, and Sost. Turn west from Sost onto the rough Chapursan jeep route and continue toward Raminj, an isolated village near the confluence of the Lupgar and Chapursan rivers. Discover farmed fields, historic dwellings, mountain vistas, and the village’s unique Burushaski-speaking people. Learn about local history, irrigation channels, and high-altitude village life before retiring to basic native lodging for an overnight stay in picturesque Raminj.
Day 02: Explore Raminj Valley – Karimabad
Explore more of Raminj and the neighboring Chapursan scenery, including short treks through agricultural terraces, irrigation channels, riverbanks, and vistas beneath steep mountain slopes. Spend time watching rural life and the contrast between bountiful fields and the harsh high-altitude landscape. Then, return to Sost via the Chapursan road before rejoining the Karakoram Highway. Continue through Passu, Gulmit, and Attabad Lake, taking in the varied mountain vistas before safely returning to Karimabad after the two-day Raminj Valley Tour.
