Day 01: Full-Day Excursion to Khunjerab Pass
Depart Karimabad and follow the Karakoram Highway to Upper Hunza, passing Attabad Lake and the breathtaking scenery of Passu. Continue via Gojal Valley to Sost, Pakistan’s final significant hamlet before the Chinese border. Enter Khunjerab National Park and drive through increasingly difficult high-altitude terrain to Khunjerab Pass. Explore the Pakistan-China border area, see the surrounding peaks, and enjoy the huge alpine landscape at 4,693 meters. After sightseeing and photography, retrace the Karakoram Highway via Sost, Passu, and Attabad Lake before returning to Karimabad.
