Overview – Stak Valley Tour
The Stak Valley Tour is a delightful journey via one of Roundu’s most stunning mountain valleys in Gilgit-Baltistan. Stak Valley, situated between Skardu and Gilgit, extends north from the Indus River into the Karakoram. As a result, tourists see a variety of scenery, ranging from riverbank roads and farmed villages to rough high-mountain terrain. Traditional towns, clean streams, terraced crops, and spectacular peaks give the valley its distinct character. Furthermore, the quieter atmosphere makes this tour perfect for travelers interested in wildlife, photography, and authentic regional beauty.
The trek to Kutiah Lungma Glacier is a must-see on the Stak Valley tour. This mountain glacier is located in the upper Stak Valley of the Karakoram range. Additionally, the path traverses through progressively desolate landscapes until arriving at vistas near the glacier zone. Visitors can see steep slopes, glacier structures, grazing meadows, and towering mountains that surround the valley. Meanwhile, the return route offers more vistas of Roundu and the Indus corridor. Overall, this two-day excursion includes gorgeous driving, community exploration, mountain vistas, and glacier views. As a result, the Stak Valley Tour makes a fantastic supplement to a larger Skardu trip plan.
