Overview – Chorbat Valley Tour

The Chorbat Valley Tour offers a picturesque trek through one of Ghanche District’s most inaccessible alpine regions. Chorbat is east of Khaplu and follows the stunning Shyok River throughout the towering Karakoram scenery. Furthermore, the path connects tranquil Balti settlements with terraced fields, orchards, and breathtaking river views. Siksa has historical significance because it was previously known as Chorbat village. Furthermore, the hamlet acted as a major hub in the old Chorbat region. Travelers can witness traditional village life while admiring the contrast between verdant fields and craggy mountains. Meanwhile, the Shyok River is the distinctive element of this magnificent route.

As the tour travels deeper into the valley, the scenery gets more stunning and solitary. Visitors pass through Hassanabad, Partuk, Piun, and other villages dotted along the Shyok River. Furthermore, the journey passes through tight gorges, rugged slopes, fertile farms, and breathtaking high-altitude scenery. The valley also represents centuries of cultural links between Baltistan and Ladakh. As a result, this expedition blends natural beauty, local tradition, and rich photographic opportunities into one unforgettable journey. Finally, guests return to Khaplu, enjoying the ever-changing vistas of the breathtaking Shyok Valley.
