Day 02: Drive from Chilas to Gilgit
On this Day
Continue your journey from Chilas to Gilgit, following the Indus before entering the larger alpine basin between Jaglot and Gilgit. The environment transitions from dry rocks to cultivated valleys, with vistas of high peaks and river connections. After arriving, finish hike preparations, inspect equipment, and handle local logistics. The time in Gilgit also serves as a useful buffer before heading to Ghizer and the isolated Yasin part of the journey.
Day 03: Drive to Yasin Valley
On this Day
Drive from Gilgit to Ghizer, passing through communities, suspension bridges, and terraced fields in the Gilgit and Ghizer valleys. Continue through Gupis to Yasin, one of the district's historic mountain valleys. The day introduces the group to the Hindukush landscape, indigenous culture, and high-valley towns. After arriving, check into a local guesthouse, meet the support staff, check the loads, and get ready for the transition from road to wilderness trekking.
Day 04: Yasin to Kuranga

Leave Yasin and travel by jeep to the Kuranga side, via the best local access road through Ghizer and the surrounding mountain valleys. The route connects the lush Yasin basin with the harsher side valleys heading to Kuranga. Because road conditions can change, this stage allows the schedule to be flexible in response to local permissions, weather, and track conditions. Arrive in Kuranga or a nearby staging settlement, where the trekking crew will gather porters and final supplies.
Day 05: Trek to Subading
On this Day
Begin the walk from Kuranga, entering the Meychar nala and following a secluded valley that was formerly utilized to connect Tangir and Kandia. The trail winds through forested regions, pasture fields, and tight mountain passageways with few villages. Walk slowly toward Subading, gaining elevation as the landscape becomes more open and alpine. Camps are minimal, with water from streams and rudimentary mountain support, giving the group a strong sense of adventure.
Day 06: Cross Guper Pass

Trek from Subading to the top slopes of Guper Pass, traversing stony terrain, grazing patches, and open peaks above the valley. The road progressively ascends until reaching the pass zone, from which views extend across the Tangir and Kandia sides. Cross the Guper Pass with caution, as altitude, weather, and snow patches can all have an impact on your progress. Descend to Ardeyshu or a good high camp, enabling the group to rest after the main crossing.
Day 07: Trek to Gutti then Deri

Day 08: Trek to Gabrial, Kandia Valley

Walk from Deri to Gabrial in Kandia Valley to complete the primary hiking route from the Kuranga side into Upper Kohistan. The trail winds through forests, pastures, and villages, providing various views of Kandia's side valleys and river systems. Meet local automobiles or go on foot as conditions dictate. After arriving in Gabrial or a nearby Kandia settlement, celebrate the achievement of the Guper Pass crossing by settling into a small hotel or campsite.
Day 09: Explore Kandia Valley
On this Day
Spend the day in Kandia Valley, visiting adjacent villages, forested hills, streams, and vistas according to local accessibility and weather. This day also serves as a buffer in case the Guper Pass crossing or previous stages require more time. The group can meet locals, shoot the valley, and relax after the trip. Later, if conditions permit, begin the road transfer to Dassu, or remain in Kandia for another local stay.
Day 10: Drive to Besham
On this Day
Drive from Kandia Valley to Dassu, then continue along the Karakoram Highway to Besham or another appropriate stop on the return trip. The route follows the Indus corridor, leaving the secluded Kohistan valleys behind and crossing stunning cliffs, bridges, and wayside towns. This portion gives the group a final look at the difficult mountain road system that connects these remote areas. Settle at a motel and get ready for the final drive back to Islamabad.
Day 11: Return to Islamabad
On this Day
Depart from Besham or the designated road-head stop and travel to Islamabad via the Karakoram Highway and the Hazara region. As the voyage returns to the city, the mountain beauty softens to reveal lower valleys, villages, and plains. The Guper Pass Trek culminates in Islamabad after linking Yasin, Kuranga, Guper Pass, and Kandia Valleys. The day is flexible to accommodate road conditions, traffic, and any delays caused by the long mountain journey.

1. Early Bird Discount: The given prices for the holiday are limited-time discount offers and are subject to change. Service providers including (but not limited) to airlines and hotels increase prices in peak-season. Early reservations cost less than peak-season.
2. Limited Flight Seats: Domestic flight seats to the Karakorams and Himalayas are sold out way ahead of time because there are only two daily flights during peak season. Among other things, the deposit is used to book domestic flights for you in advance.
3. Pay Balance after arrival in Pakistan: In these unusual times, we appreciate that paying the final balance for your trip may cause concern. Our policy is to only receive your final balance once you arrive in Pakistan. The only payment before arrival is the deposit.
4. Deposit valid for 3 years: We understand the uncertainty surrounding the pandemic (Covid-19). As part of our relaxed booking conditions following Covid-19, deposits are valid for 2 years.

Refund Policy for All
Deposit: Once paid, the deposit is non-refundable (but valid for 2 years) as it will be spent on making in-country arrangements.
Balance: Pay the balance only after arrival in Pakistan on the first day. Payment guidelines will be shared timely.
Currency
All international travelers can pay in US Dollars (USD) or equivalent in Euros (EUR) or Pound Sterling (GBP). Pakistani travelers are charged the equivalent in Pakistani Rupees (PKR).
Single Supplement
Separate hotel rooms (single supplement) will cost an additional USD 290. This includes all hotel nights. This payment should be made with the balance upon arrival.
