Day 02: Drive from Chilas to Gilgit
On this Day
Leave Chilas and proceed along the Karakoram Highway to Gilgit. The road follows the Indus River before reaching the bigger mountain vistas near Gilgit. When you arrive, check into your accommodation and finish your trek preparations, including supplies, porter arrangements, and equipment checks. A brief visit to Gilgit city adds cultural interest, with bazaars, native food, and vistas of the surrounding valleys before continuing further into Ghizer.
Day 03: Drive to Yasin Valley

Driving from Gilgit to Yasin Valley, pass via Ghizer's beautiful communities, river bends, and mountain villages. Continue to Darkot village, the traditional starting place for the Rawat section of the trek. The terrain becomes quieter and more desolate as the route approaches the upper valley. Upon arrival in Darkot, meet the local support team, arrange loads, and settle into the village atmosphere while admiring the views of the surrounding Hindu Kush and Hindu Raj mountains.
Day 04: Trek to Rawat

Begin the hike from Darkot village to Rawat, taking an easy path along the jeep track. The trail gradually ascends through open valley scenery, cultivated patches, and seasonal grazing areas frequented by local families. Rawat is a popular summer destination for Darkot residents, with barley and pea fields adding to the campsite's appeal. Camp near Rawat at around 3,600 meters and enjoy the tranquil mountain scenery.
Day 05: Explore Rawat & Surrounding Areas

Spend a full day trekking through Rawat and its surrounding slopes, meadows, streams, and vistas. This day allows the group to explore the summer settlement, photograph the open valley, and enjoy views toward the higher path leading in the direction of Darkot Pass. The speed remains adjustable for acclimatization and nature walks. Rawat's peaceful fields, fresh mountain air, and friendly locals make it a rewarding highlight of the Yasin Valley trek.
Day 06: Return to Gilgit
On this Day
Return from Rawat to Darkot village by following the lovely path via fields, streams, and wide valley scenery. The smooth descent allows more time to appreciate the surrounding peaks and traditional settlement patterns. After arriving at Darkot, continue on the road to Gilgit, passing via Yasin Valley and the scenic riverbank of Ghizer. Arrive in Gilgit and check into your accommodation, with time to relax after finishing the Rawat hiking stretch.
Day 07: Return to Islamabad

Begin the return journey from Gilgit to Islamabad via the Karakoram Highway through valleys, rivers, and mountain corridors. The panorama changes throughout the drive, from the harsh landscapes of Gilgit-Baltistan to the greener areas in the lower regions. Depending on road conditions, the trip may take you through Babusar Pass or down the all-weather Karakoram Highway. Arrive in Islamabad with unique experiences from Rawat, Darkot, and the distant grandeur of the Yasin Valley hike.

1. Early Bird Discount: The given prices for the holiday are limited-time discount offers and are subject to change. Service providers including (but not limited) to airlines and hotels increase prices in peak-season. Early reservations cost less than peak-season.
2. Limited Flight Seats: Domestic flight seats to the Karakorams and Himalayas are sold out way ahead of time because there are only two daily flights during peak season. Among other things, the deposit is used to book domestic flights for you in advance.
3. Pay Balance after arrival in Pakistan: In these unusual times, we appreciate that paying the final balance for your trip may cause concern. Our policy is to only receive your final balance once you arrive in Pakistan. The only payment before arrival is the deposit.
4. Deposit valid for 3 years: We understand the uncertainty surrounding the pandemic (Covid-19). As part of our relaxed booking conditions following Covid-19, deposits are valid for 2 years.
6. Pay Minimum Deposit: The deposits for the holiday are also early-bird discounts and automatically change accordingly:

Refund Policy for All
Deposit: Once paid, the deposit is non-refundable (but valid for 2 years) as it will be spent on making in-country arrangements.
Balance: Pay the balance only after arrival in Pakistan on the first day. Payment guidelines will be shared timely.
Currency
All international travelers can pay in US Dollars (USD) or equivalent in Euros (EUR) or Pound Sterling (GBP). Pakistani travelers are charged the equivalent in Pakistani Rupees (PKR).
Single Supplement
Separate hotel rooms (single supplement) will cost an additional USD 290. This includes all hotel nights. This payment should be made with the balance upon arrival.
Separate tents (single tent) will cost an additional USD 180. This includes the cost of additional porterage. This payment should also be made with the balance in Pakistan.
