Depart from Skardu and go down the Skardu-Kargil Road until Thorgo Pain, where the adventure departs from the main roadway. Continue up the steep, non-metalled zigzag track toward Rganostor Valley, taking in the dramatic mountain scenery and panoramic views of the neighboring valleys. Explore the little hilltop community, meet the locals, learn about traditional rural life, and photograph the rough terrain. After exploring Rganostor’s vistas and calm settings, gently descend via the switchbacks before returning to Skardu.
