Travel from Gulmit to adjacent Ghulkin, about three kilometers off the Karakoram Highway, and start a guided stroll through this traditional Wakhi town. Learn about local culture as you walk along village walks past orchards, farmed fields, glacier-fed streams, and stone-built cottages. Visit the historic Qirghiz Boi historical home and the adjoining Qorab Shah Mosque before continuing to the Nasir Khusrav School overlook for panoramic views of Ghulkin Glacier, Attabad Lake, Ondra Fort, and the Passu Cones. Finish the trek through the calm village alleyways before returning to Gulmit.
