Begin your journey in Gilgit City and drive toward the Khomar or Jutial slopes. After arriving at the trailhead, begin the long uphill journey up the Taj Mughal Minar. The walking track is around two to three km long and normally takes about 30 minutes. Upon arrival, investigate the centuries-old stone structure known as Mughali Shikar. Learn about its historical significance to Taj-ud-Din Mughal and enjoy commanding views of Gilgit City, Danyore, and the surrounding mountain ranges. Spend some time snapping photos and enjoying the calm ridgetop setting. Then, cautiously descend the same steep trail and return to the vehicle. Return to Gilgit City, where the brief historical trekking excursion ends.
