Day 02: Trek to Rakaposhi Base Camp (South Face)
On this Day
After breakfast, take the upper valley trail to the Sulgin Glacier, which allows access to Rakaposhi's formidable south face. The trail continues across open ground, stream-cut terrain, and increasingly difficult moraine, with stunning glacier and mountain views ahead. Reach the constructed base camp near the glacier's snout, which is roughly 3,660 metres high. Set up camp, explore safe perspectives along the moraine, and see Rakaposhi while avoiding unstable icefalls and hanging seracs.
Day 03: Trek back to Danyore Nala – Gilgit City
On this Day
After an early breakfast, leave Rakaposhi Base Camp and retrace your steps across the Sulgin Glacier Valley. Before arriving at the lower grazing fields and Danyore Nala Camp, take care to navigate loose moraine, rough trails, and stream crossings. After a brief rest, proceed to the roadhead, where the support vehicle greets the group. Drive back through Danyore to Gilgit City, where the hike ends with stunning views of the surrounding Karakoram region.
Why Register Early?
1. Early Bird Discount: The given prices for the holiday are limited-time discount offers and are subject to change. Service providers including (but not limited) to airlines and hotels increase prices in peak-season. Early reservations cost less than peak-season.
2. Limited Flight Seats: Domestic flight seats to the Karakorams and Himalayas are sold out way ahead of time because there are only two daily flights during peak season. Among other things, the deposit is used to book domestic flights for you in advance.
3. Pay Balance after arrival in Pakistan: In these unusual times, we appreciate that paying the final balance for your trip may cause concern. Our policy is to only receive your final balance once you arrive in Pakistan. The only payment before arrival is the deposit.
4. Deposit valid for 3 years: We understand the uncertainty surrounding the pandemic (Covid-19). As part of our relaxed booking conditions following Covid-19, deposits are valid for 2 years.
6. Pay Minimum Deposit: The deposits for the holiday are also early-bird discounts and automatically change accordingly:

Refund Policy for All
Deposit: Once paid, the deposit is non-refundable (but valid for 2 years) as it will be spent on making in-country arrangements.
Balance: Pay the balance only after arrival in Pakistan on the first day. Payment guidelines will be shared timely.
Currency
All international travelers can pay in US Dollars (USD) or equivalent in Euros (EUR) or Pound Sterling (GBP). Pakistani travelers are charged the equivalent in Pakistani Rupees (PKR).
Single Supplement
Separate hotel rooms (single supplement) will cost an additional USD 290. This includes all hotel nights. This payment should be made with the balance upon arrival.
Separate tents (single tent) will cost an additional USD 180. This includes the cost of additional porterage. This payment should also be made with the balance in Pakistan.

The Rakaposhi Base Camp Trek (South Face) – Danyore Nala Valley provides a secluded Karakoram excursion from Gilgit City. Unlike the popular Minapin route, this path enters Rakaposhi via the remote Sulgin Glacier valley. Before commencing the mountain journey, travelers drive to Danyore and then into the nala. The trail traverses streams, grazing meadows, rocky slopes, and open alpine scenery. Furthermore, changing landscapes give more dramatic vistas of Rakaposhi’s massive southern wall. Rakaposhi, at 7,788 metres, dominates the skyline with its snowfields, glaciers, and steep slopes. As a result, the walk rewards experienced hikers seeking solitude, remoteness, and rarely seen mountain vistas.
The route continues to the Sulgin Glacier snout, where expeditions have established a base camp at 3,660 metres. Trekkers must navigate rough routes, loose moraine, and seasonal streams. Meanwhile, the neighboring valley is calm, undeveloped, and remote from established tourist attractions. As a result, local guides, camping equipment, porters, and thorough planning are required. From base camp, tourists can see hanging glaciers and the towering south face from safer moraine perspectives. However, unstable seracs make glacier exploration hazardous without technical knowledge. Finally, the return route follows Danyore Nala to the roadhead and Gilgit City.
