Overview – Jaglot Valley Tour – Jaglot Nala

Jaglot Valley Tour – Jaglot Nala provides a break from Gilgit and visits one of Gilgit-Baltistan’s most important junctions. The trek takes the Karakoram Highway to Jaglot, some 45 kilometers southeast of Gilgit. The Karakoram, Himalayas, and Hindu Kush merge in this stunning mountain panorama. Furthermore, the close confluence of the Gilgit and Indus rivers provides a unique photographic opportunity. Jaglot was previously called Sai, and Sai Nala enters the Indus near the village. As a result, the tour integrates natural landscape, regional geography, and local history into a single rewarding day.

After arriving at Jaglot, guests can explore the lower nala, village alleyways, fertile terraces, and traditional farming areas. Meanwhile, rocky slopes and rushing water are ideal locations for short treks and scenic photography. The valley’s farmed plains grow around Sai Nala and the neighboring mountain streams. Greenery contrasts well with the adjacent dry mountains and river gorges. Visitors can also pause near the Gilgit-Skardu road junction, which emphasizes Jaglot’s important position. A picnic by the nala adds a calm touch to the event. Finally, the return trip provides additional views along the Karakoram Highway. Overall, Jaglot Valley Tour – Jaglot Nala is ideal for travelers seeking scenery, culture, and easy exploration near Gilgit.
